My question is not answered here!
MediaRights does not distribute films listed on our site. You can, however, order the films directly from the distributor. Once you have selected a film you would like to purchase, click on the link to the distributor's Web site to purchase the film from the distributor. There is also a link to a page about all of our distributors which contains all the titles a given distributor has in our database.
When you submit a listing to one of our databases, it does not automatically appear on our site. We manually review each submission for errors. If you think your films should already be listed please contact us.
The newsletter subscribe/unsubscribe checkbox is located on your personal information page.
To make editorial changes, email info@mediarights.org with the text that needs to be changed and how you want the text to read.
You can now upload digitized images onto our site when you submit your films by following these steps:
Step 1. For Mac users:
If you want to take the picture from a Web site on a Mac, click on the picture and drag it to your desktop.
Step 1. For PC users: Right click on the image you want to save and click "Save as..." to your desktop (or wherever you want it).
Step 2. (for all users) Once you have the picture and are entering your film, go to the Image Upload tab of the same film entry form you have been using. Click the Browse button and select the image that you have placed on your desktop (or wherever the image is on your computer). The text box should list the name of the image that you want to upload. Continue to fill out the form as you would to submit a film and hit "send".
Your images should be 180x180 pixels or smaller in jpeg format. The image will appear on our site next to your film description, once it has been reviewed by our staff. Remember the review process may take a few days.
If you want to add a photo to a film you've already entered, email it to info@mediarights.org as an attachment, with your name and the title of your film included in the body of the email.
A social-issue documentary is a nonfiction film or video which addresses human rights or environmental issues. An advocacy video is usually short format (3-20 minutes), and produced by or for an organization working toward social change. Documentaries that feature dramatizations, poetical vignettes, or narrative voiceovers are acceptable. Currently, we are limiting our database to documentaries and advocacy videos. The political and/or social views expressed by the films in our database do not reflect in any way the political or editorial views of the staff of MediaRights.
